At only 25 years of age, Josh Amberger is one of the up-and-coming talents in 70.3 distance racing, with 10 podiums in 16 starts in 2014. Josh (or “The Goff”) was a competitive swimmer as a youngster, and this has translated well in his transition to triathlon. He went through the Australian development system, racing on the ITU circuit for a few seasons, playing a role in swim/bike breakaways and being first off the bike in many of the races. However it was when he started doing non-drafting races in 2011 that he found professional success. In the span of three years he already has nine Ironman 70.3 podium finishes, including four titles.
