Jodie Cunnama is a two-time ITU Long Distance World Champion, Ironman 70.3 World Champion, two-time Ironman African Champion, and Ironman Asia Pacific Champion. This British triathlete also owns the distinction of having won Ironman 70.3 South Africa a record seven consecutive times.

Jodie began her journey to sporting excellence as a young swimmer and also a track and cross-country runner representing Great Britain. She won her first international race at the Junior European Championship in 2000 and showed much promise as a member of the British triathlon team. She went on to participate in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, but disappointment in her 34th place finish and a torn Achilles tendon made her seriously consider quitting the sport.

Jodie found her stride again after recovering both from her surgery and from an eating disorder. This time, she began making inroads into long-distance triathlon, winning the ITU Long Distance World Championship in 2009 and the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in 2010. After another foot injury in 2012 counted her out of the qualifying for the London Olympics, Jodie switched focus to long-course where her grit and tremendous ability to race off the front has led to remarkable success.
